Roger brought the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m. with an opening prayer. The election of Convocation President was postponed until Christina West arrived with the budget information.

The minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. Delegates from St. Johns indicated their present organ will be refurbished, not that they are getting a refurbished organ. This work begins in June.

News/Sharing: Vacation Bible Schools, Summer programs, Youth Group camping trips, audit team for parishes - St. Gabriel's and St. Francis are talking about doing an audit team exchange, priest-in-charge seem to be leaving in record numbers; 2 parishes are looking for a youth director. Many congregations raising up members for holy orders. Alpha is an ongoing program in a few churches and some more are looking at using the program.

St. Francis held a flower sale and netted $2,500.

Christina West opened discussion on the Diocesan Budget. After going over the budget section by section, Christina took a few questions back to her committee for answers and will bring them back to us for the next meeting. Two requests were made to hold the line on amount for Hispanic Ministries and Total Ministries II.

Deacon Roger accepted Christina's willingness to serve as president for the rest of the year and would approach Joe Schafer about serving as president in 2001.

The next meeting will be at St. Barts on Sunday, July 30th at 2:00 p.m. The October meeting is being planned for St. Alban's in Tillamook and lunch will be served before the meeting, so keep October Saturdays free on your calendar until we nail down a date (tentative is October 21).

Fr Bill Cary closed the meeting with prayer at 3:35 p.m.
