Miki

in the special convention diocesan newsletter.
Triangle Lake has a new year-round building. Diocesan Christian Education members will do a “road show” to all
parishes.
It
was moved and seconded that Miki Grove and Ted Rodrigues+ remain for another
year as our representatives to Diocesan Council, and that Cynthia Reynolds be
our president for the 2004 year, and that Tom Lang serve on the Diocesan
Nominating Committee for next year.
Since St. Gabriel and St. Bart have entered into a partnership in ministry, other parishes can offer programs and strengths to help other parishes.
It was suggested that each parish have a budget line item for Convocation Outreach of $100, if possible. Will recommend that McMenamin’s do a buffet for the next event (if we pre-sale tickets). Will try to get Bishop Itty as speaker. Need members to serve on committee with Paul Brodie.
Florette Lewis gave information on the Episcopal Church Women’s Spirituality Day to be held next May, and has asked our convocation parishes to help with planning, program, etc., and hopefully, contribute to the cost. The Rev. Margaret Guenther will be the keynote speaker. We will discuss this more at our next convocation meeting.

Outreach
Event Listing
Cynthia
needs a listing from each parish of their outreach events, so can be placed in
newsletters.
Three resolutions submitted by The Rev. Robert Morrison, were discussed. These resolutions are adapted from ones passed at General Convention with regard to Congregational Evaluation and Ministry Review, Stewardship – 50/50 Outreach for Congregations, and Stewardship – Holy Habits. It was a general consensus that these topics do not need to be legislated.
The
annual Convocation Friday Lunch at convention will be held at Jade Garden in
Corvallis.
The meeting ended with a closing blessing given by Chris Cole+.
Respectfully submitted:
